Live
Music

Steven Coombe – He has been traveling the world playing music for dancers for very long time. A grand energy on stage and a rare knowledge of the music we love.  Steven love to dance and being Jam Factory a flow of energy from the musicians to the dancers and viceversa, he is the perfect fit for Jam Factory. Another thing I find fascinating is how Steven can play with different musicians. At Jam Factory will be playing with some of his international musicians and some of the local ones. Two different project in two days. Are curious to know what those projects?

The Mama’Sway – The aim of The Mama’Sway concerts is to make everyone dance. A repertoire based on the sound of the Afro-American tradition of the first half of the 1900s. A journey that starts from swing to the first soul songs of the 50s. Stories, history and popular events are told through music and dance.

The Groovemates feat. Fatimah – United by their love for Black Music and a passion for Soul, Funk, and Blues, the trio delivers an energetic show by rearranging songs from artists like D’Angelo, Lee Fields, John Mayer, Sly Stone, Bruno Mars, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and many more, always leaving room for improvisation and the creation of hypnotic grooves. Fatimah is an American singer hailing from New Jersey, she brings her love for Black Music to Italy. Her concerts are a mix of Soul, Blues, R’n’B, and Acid Jazz. She pays strong attention to the “Motown” style and its great interpreters such as Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, as well as the great jazz voices of the past like Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald.

I know the basics of the Jazz Steps (Fall of the Log, Apple Jack, Boogie Back, Boogie Forward…). I have an idea of the Shim Sham.

I know most of the Jazz Steps  (Fall of the Log, Apple Jack, Boogie Back, Boogie Forward, Cross-Over, Box Step, Shim Sham) and Charleston. I have an idea of the Big Apple. I follow the class without being worried of faster rhythms.
