Ariadna
Beltran

She has been dancing since she was a child. After graduating in classical and contemporary dance, she has been performing in many prestigious European theaters, such as the Moulin Rouge in Paris. Ariadna is now teaching and performing internationally. She is a talented dancer, but also a great instructor. Elegant, powerful and expressive. We are happy to host her at the Factory and we are sure we will learn a lot from her.

Kouakou Kouame

Remy Kouakou Kouame is an established dancer and performer travelling all over the world to share his passion for Jazz Dance. Remy’s approach to the dance is unique and original. As a teacher he promotes creativity and individuality. At Jam Factory Remy will teach Solo Jazz and Lindy Hop. His energy will take all of us by storm.

Markus is a specialist in the dances and the music from the 20´s to the 50´s. He now teaches Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie, Authentic Jazz, Tap, and Shag. His style is described as old school with a close link to the roots of the dance. Markus way of teaching is very playful with many different and innovative approaches to solve key elements.
His smile, his way of dressing up, his dance and his music will drive us wild in class and at the parties.

Vincenzo Fesi is a worldwide recognised dancer, teacher and choreographer. As a real globetrotter, he teaches and perform all over the world. Vincenzo is the Italian star that shines in the lively international swing dance scene.

He has a specific teaching method that he developed throughout his years of experience in the fields.

Vincenzo is not only a dancer. He choreographs, sings and produce events. He is also a capable story teller of the history of jazz dance. In 2014 he wrote the preface of the Italian edition of the book “Frankie Manning: ambasciatore dello swing”.

THURSDAY 8 – Mama’Sway – The aim of Mama’Sway concerts is to make everyone dance. A repertoire based on the sound of the Afro-American tradition of the first half of the 1900s. A journey that starts from swing to the first soul songs of the 50s.
Stories, history and popular events are told through music and dance.

FRIDAY 9 – Ricciardo & The Swing Reactors – The sound of swing meet the early bop. Let’s jump into the evolution of the sound we like the most: swing. We are not leaving it behind completely, but we will explore how the music changed into a new movement.

FRIDAY 9 – The Groovemates – “The Groovemates” is a project composed by Andrea Sabatino (Bass), Stefano Gasperi (Guitar/Vocal) and Alessandro Luccioli (Drums). Built from Black Music listening and a passion for Soul/Funk/Blues, the trio puts on an energetic show rearranging songs by artists such as D’Angelo, Lee Fields, John Mayer, Sly Stone, Bruno Mars, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and many others, with a lot of improvisation and the creation of hypnotic grooves.

SATURDAY 10 – The Big Bunch band – A bunch of very talented musicians from Roma gathering together for this special occasion: Jam Factory. A band with a powerful sound. Now it’s our turn to step on the dance floor to make this night special.

Mr Peanuts – His passion for the Swing Era style, dance and culture brings him at seeking constantly in the musical sphere, going from RnB of the 40s, to Dixieland, up to the Big Band Classics; his collection of original vinyl’s is continuously growing.
Being himself a lindy hop dancer and teacher, he knows how to show dancers a good time.
He is the official DJ of Parma Lindy Hoppers, clan of Swing Dance Society; among the main events in which he took part we can mention: Swing Crash, Swing Upon a Time, Sicily Swing Fest, Salento Swing Festival, Swing On The River, It’All About Us.

DJ Duke McVouty specialises in music from the 1920´s to the 1960´s. He prides himself on selecting only the best music from the vaults, from hot jazz to mambo, SKA to boogie-woogie, the music brings you in a infectious mood that keeps you goin all nite long!

Guide to choose your level

I know the basics of the Jazz Steps (Fall of the Log, Apple Jack, Boogie Back, Boogie Forward…). I have an idea of the Shim Sham.

I know most of the Jazz Steps  (Fall of the Log, Apple Jack, Boogie Back, Boogie Forward, Cross-Over, Box Step, Shim Sham) and Charleston. I have an idea of the Big Apple. I follow the class without being worried of faster rhythms.

I know the Jazz Vocabulary (Fall of the Log, Apple Jack, Boogie Back, Boogie Forward, Cross-Over, Box Step, ecc.) and Charleston. I can dance those steps easily. I know the Big Apple. I can follow the class even when the music get faster. I do learn quickly.
